The Gargoyle Statue is a recurring enemy in the Rosenkreuzstilette series.
Gargoyle Statues are large and resilient enemies who will bounce towards the player and shoot fireballs at them. Gargoyle Statues are usually found at the end of a stage. In Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel, there is a variant who will pose as a normal statue until the player draws close to them. They are based on the various large hopping enemies from the Mega Man series.
In Rosenkreuzstilette, they are found in the Imperial Training Hall (opening stage), the Research Tower (Liebea's stage), the first the third stages of Zeppelin's Castle, and the second stage of the Iris Palace. In Freudenstachel, they are found in the Mountainside Dungeon (Grolla's stage), the Zuverburg Clock Tower (Sichte's stage), the White Wasteland (Liebea's stage) and the Phalanx Cathedral Ruins (Eifer's stage). In early trial versions of the game, they appear in the Snow Chapel/Castle Grounds, the opening stage, but were removed in later versions.
